About us
As a young craftsman, owner Eldad Kaganov has spent over a decade honing his skills in traditional blacksmithing and forged ironwork. From the beginning, he has cultivated a business culture rooted in heritage, artistry, and integrity.
His journey started humbly in his parents’ backyard at the age of fourteen, learning from books, videos, live demonstrations, and any resource he could access. Everything changed when Eldad began working at historic sites such as The Historic Village of Allaire, The Red Mill Museum, and several other locations across New Jersey, where he forged alongside talented smiths and deepened his understanding of artisan blacksmithing.
A major turning point in his career came through intensive work-study at the world renowned Uri Hofi School of Blacksmithing. Under the guidance of Boaz Yakin, Eldad experienced tremendous personal and professional growth, refining his technique and expanding his mastery of architectural ironwork.
Today, Eldad continues to advance his craft while mentoring apprentices who share his passion for forging. His dedication to handcrafted ironwork is evident in both the pieces he creates and his commitment to teaching the next generation of smith.
EK Artisan Blacksmith LLC now specializes in producing timeless forged ironworks designed to last for generations. In addition to custom commissions, the team performs restoration and preservation work, applying hundreds of hours of study and hands on experience recreating historic ironwork found throughout the United States and Europe.
